K2 Pure Solutions is currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to be a key member of the team presently engaged in the planning and design of K2’s network of membrane cell Chlor-Alkali bleach plants across the United States.
Reporting to K2’s Director of Engineering, candidates are expected to have a University degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of five years work experience in the chemical industry, preferably in Chlor-Alkali. CAD experience, though not essential, is preferred.
This position will be located either in Akron, Ohio or Toronto, Ontario.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the design of pre-engineered buildings
- Participating in developing the site layout
- Designing of steel equipment support structures
- Designing of steel piperack supports
- Designing of piping
- Detailing of the layout and elevation design for equipment
- Overseeing the design of concrete dikes, tank farms, tank foundations, etc.
- Providing site supervision (during the erection period)
- Overseeing site prep work (roadways, storm sewer, lighting, fencing, etc.)
